NHS Talking Therapies: Provides CBT and other psychological therapies for anxiety and depression. Self-refer directly without a GP. Free. Waits vary by region.
Community Mental Health Teams: For complex or severe conditions. Multidisciplinary care from psychiatrists, CPNs, social workers and psychologists.
Crisis Services: Call 111 and select the mental health option, available 24/7. Or contact your local crisis team directly.

Samaritans: 116 123, available 24/7, 365 days. Free from any phone including mobile.
Shout: Text SHOUT to 85258 for 24/7 crisis text support.
CALM: For men struggling with mental health. Helpline and webchat available.

Private Therapy
Private therapy costs 60-150 pounds per session. The BACP and UKCP registers list qualified therapists. Lower-cost options include trainee counsellors supervised by experienced practitioners.
